I'm very grateful to just about everyone I've met here, (particular thanks to grizzly for doing so much to make a "here") Very fond of you and you hold special places in my thoughts and prayers. All the same, I think I'm going to be spending a lot less time on Θφ. I really just don't have a heart for argument any more (at least for the time) and I really think it would be better for me to pull back and sort out some things for a while. I'll still try to drop by and keep in touch. I hope and pray theophiles continues to be spiritually and socially fruitful. God Bless.

Yeah. I have appreciated very much our various discussions. I just want you to know that, and to know that you will be missed around these parts. Thanks for making the time for thoughtful debate on things that matter.

May you walk with God; may you ever better know Him and His ways; may He show you better each day how to follow Him; and may He enable and strengthen you to do so ever more closely.

Peace & Blessings.

but you have to crash SBL in Boston and hang, OK? Look me up, I'm giving a paper.

I understand, I've pulled out for the most part on the previous site, now I just lurk in the background on a rare day. My prayers are with you.

Blessings

It seems to me arguments are generally bad for the soul. I hear you; I've been avoiding arguments lately as well. There's just no profit in them.

Here's a quote I found on Glory to God for All Things:
Quote:
A Hermit advised, “If someone speaks to you about a controversy, do not argue with him. If what he says makes sense, say, ‘Yes.’ If his comments are misguided, say, ‘I don’t know anything about that.’ If you refuse to dispute with his ideas, your mind will be at peace.

No reason to be sorry!! I hope to see you again on here, but your reasoning is understandable. I also hope you sort out everything you need to!

I wish I could say it was going to get better. I'm just hoping it doesn't get bitter. I remember X. in 2004 when the previous presidential election was coming up and how political, divisive, and argumentative it got. (I certainly share in that blame.) Some people say never to talk about religion or politics because it always leads to arguments. Obviously avoiding the former would end this forum. Avoiding the latter seems impractical too. Hopefully, we can discuss both in a civil manner.

I'm disappointed to see you go, but I pray that God be with you and bless you.

Webby (if I may call you Webby), we'll miss you 'round these parts. Here's wishing you well in all you endeavor and hoping that you'll pop in from time to time.
